BVEC Music Auditions
BVEC Music Auditions were held on Wednesday this week. An excellent showing from Ladd as usual. Congratulations to 2nd Chair Flute Jacklynn Tillotson, 7th Chair Flute Cecilia Taylor, 2nd Chair Clarinet Sophia Zerfas, 3rd Chair Trombone Ollie Ribas, and 4th Chair Trombone Juan Mateo Garcia! We also congratulate our BVEC Choir participants below, Angel Barnette, Asher Byrne, Lila Dempsey, Natalie Gonzalez, Noe Irizarry, Isaac Semethy, and Hattie Thrasher!
Student Council Announced
Our 2026-2027 Student Council was recently announced. Congratulations to President Allie Kerr, Vice-President Harper Lannen, Secretary Reed Bickett, Treasurer Ashtyn Blair, 6th Grade Representative Alivia Liebe, 7th Grade Representatives Cecelia Taylor and Hattie Thrasher, and 8th Grade Representatives Emmalynn Lijewski and Jacklynn Tillotson.
Choosing Books
We are so excited about how much our students are reading and taking their book challenges seriously! We have so many that are ahead of schedule already and choosing to spend extra minutes at school reading books. Great job, everyone!
For our 4th grade students and above, the students are challenged to meet their Accelerated Reader goal. As you are selecting books, be aware that not all books at your child's reading level will have an Accelerated Reader test available. Students will not be able to earn points without a corresponding test. You can find out if a test is available for any given book at AR BookFinder.
We encourage parents to be aware of what their child is reading. Some books in your child's reading level may not have content that you are comfortable with as a family. You can also get information on book content through AR BookFinder or through Goodreads or Amazon.
