The Great Debate
Our 7th Graders had a heated debate over The Great Compromise in Social Studies with Judge Schneider this week. We loved seeing our students engaged and advocating for their viewpoints. Well done, 7th Grade!
Class Dojo
We are asking all parents to sign up for their child's Class Dojo. This will be the main form of communication from your child's teacher throughout the year. If you are receiving email reminders each morning, you have not yet signed up. We want to make sure everyone has access to all the important things going on in the classroom.
Bus Evacuation Drill
We will be conducting our annual Bus Evacuation Drill on Tuesday, September 1st. Students practice proper bus etiquette and evacuation procedures in case of an emergency.
Word of the Week
Students district wide will be focusing on a word of the week throughout the year. The words selected are the most widely used and necessary academic vocabulary to ensure student success across subjects. Our word of the week will be posted on the sign out front and parents can help by reinforcing those new words at home.
Reading Challenge
Our reading challenge has begun for all students. As a reminder, every students should be spending time reading at home each night! Parents are our most important partners in increasing time spent reading and student achievement. Please check in with your child each night and make sure they are working toward that goal.
