Welcome back, Ladd families! We love seeing all our students back in the building and we are wrapping up a very successful first week! Just as in year's past, we will be posting these weekly updates every Friday to update families on the week and to share important information about upcoming events. If you have not already done so, please make sure you have downloaded the Ladd School app and turned on notification so that you are getting notified when new information is posted.

PTO Picnic
Thank you to the PTO, who always gets us off to a great start in the fall. They provided our Back to School picnic full of fun activities and treats to celebrate our return to school. We appreciate all the parents and grandparents who volunteered to help! We couldn't do it without you!
Pick Up and Drop Off Procedures
As a reminder, when dropping off or picking up your child please stay in the pick-up/drop-off line and let staff help your child get in and out at the curb. Preschool parents can stay in the line until reaching the East side of the parking lot where you may park and walk in the grass. All other parents are to avoid parking in the parking lot and walking through. If you are walking your student to or from school, please make sure you are walking on the sidewalk and not through the parking lot. These measures are to ensure the safety of all students. We appreciate your support.
Arrival Times
Students may arrive at 8:00 each morning when eating breakfast. If not eating breakfast, students may not be on school grounds until 8:05. Please talk with your child and make sure they are not arriving early when there is no supervision.
Class Dojo
This year, our Ladd Teachers are all using one consistent communication platform to share information from their classroom. All parents should have received an invite for Class Dojo at Back to School night with a QR Code to sign up. If you have not signed up please do so as soon as possible. If you are in need of another invite, please contact your child's teacher.
2026-2027 Reading Challenge
Our Reading Challenge for all students is about to begin! This year the K-3 students will be participating in the 100 Book Challenge and our 4-8 students will be continuing with their AR Challenge. Our target is to have every Ladd Student meet their reading goal this year!
Monday, all K-3 students will bring home their reading log and book pouches. We are asking all parents to partner with us in this goal and help their child read and log their books each night! Together we can make sure we reach our goal for all students!
Meet Hope
We are very lucky to have Hope back in the building this year! Hope is a Support Animal with the Village of Ladd and is often present in our hallways with Chief Frund. Hope is available to provide emotional support for students and to help with regulation. Thank you, Chief Frund for working with us and making Hope available to support our students.
PBIS Kick Off
We will be kicking off our PBIS Carnival Team days starting September 8th at 2:00. For our first event, students will be working on a project together. We are asking all students to bring one toilet paper tube to contribute. Please have your child bring this item next week.
