Staff Appreciation Week
Next week is Staff Appreciation Week and we have a whole lot of amazing people to appreciate at Ladd School. During Staff Appreciation Week I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for every staff member in this incredible school team. Each day, our staff bring patience, creativity, and unwavering commitment to our students, and it shows in the joy, growth, and confidence we see in them. Whether teaching in the classroom, supporting learning in small moments, keeping our buildings running smoothly, or creating a warm and welcoming environment for families, their work makes a profound difference in the lives of our students. I could not ask for a better group to work with and to serve our students. Thank you to them for the countless ways they show up for our students and fo one another. Our school and our students are better because of it.
Students, take some time next week to honor your teachers and to let them know just how much you appreciate all that they do for you!
Lost and Found
The school lost and found is piling up again. Parents, please encourage your child to look through the items and take home anything that belongs to them. Lost and found items will be donated at the end of the year.
ABC Countdown
The Countdown continues. Check out the activities and dress up days scheduled for next week as we countdown the last 20 days of the school year.
Class Field Trips
Many of our classes have field trips coming up. Please make sure you are checking your child's folders and looking for permission slips to ensure your child has everything they need to enjoy their trips
Preschool Screening
Final reminder, we will have our final preschool screening for the year on Tuesday, May 5th. If you have a child potentially entering preschool in the fall, they must attend a preschool screening. If you have not already had your child screened, make sure you call the office.
Summer Food Service
The Summer Food Service is a program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Illinois State Board of Education. Summer Food Service provides healthy and nutritious meals for children when school is out. See details above to find a site near you that provides summer meal service.
