Teen Showcase
On Thursday this week, 7th and 8th grade students had the opportunity to attend the Teen Showcase at IVCC. Teen Showcase is conducted by North Central Behavioral Health Systems and focuses on positive life choices, discussing alternatives to drugs and alcohol, setting life goals, handling peer pressure and bullying, teen dating violence, internet safety and more. This is a wonderful program and we are grateful our kids were able to take part.
Science Fair Open House
There will be a Science Fair Open House on Wednesday, March 18th in the Science Room. Parents and community members are welcome to come view this year's 7th Grade Science Fair projects. Come join us and celebrate our 7th graders and all their hard work.
Before Care
This year, Ladd School implemented Before Care Services for families who need supervision before 8:00. Ladd Staff supervise students in the gymnasium starting as early as 7:00 for a daily fee. Students do not need to sign up ahead of time to utilize these services.
So far this year, we have not had as much response as we initially anticipated and it may not be fiscally responsible to continue the program moving forward. We will continue with the program for this school year and re-evaluate once summer starts. If you or someone you know would benefit from these services, please do not hesitate to use them. The decision to continue the program next year will be based on usage.
PTO Family Movie Night
PTO is hosting their annual Family Movie Night showing the classic, Space Jam. Mark you calendars and bring the whole family for the fun event! See details above.
Family Movie Night Basket Donations
The Family Movie Night committee is collecting donations for family fun baskets to raffle off the night of the movie which is on Friday, March 20. Students from each class are asked to bring in items from their category by Thursday, March 19 to be included in the baskets. This year we have chosen 4 basket themes. See below for your class and donation category.
We 🫶🏼 the 90s- This basket’s theme includes things from the 90s. Suggestions include, but are not limited to: hacky sack, kickball, lip smackers, slap bracelets, skip-it, Looney Tunes stuffies, Bop-it, Pokemon cards, magic 8 ball, Trolls, basketball, Gak, silly putty, etc.
Build it- This basket’s theme includes things to build creatively. Suggestions include, but are not limited to: Legos, kinetic sand, blocks, playdoh, cardboard, velcro & craft sticks, magnatiles, etc.
Night in- This basket’s theme includes anything you need for a fun night in. Suggestions include, but are not limited to: books, blanket, movie, snacks, drinks, notebook, pens/pencils, coloring book, puzzles, card/board games, etc.
Outdoor Adventure- This basket’s theme includes things for outdoorsy activities. Suggestions include but are not limited to: flashlight, binoculars, water bottle, magnifying glass, bag, sunscreen, bug spray, outdoor specimen identification book, compass, towel, bug catcher, s’more supplies, recording book/pencil, etc.

Approved Pick Up List
Just a reminder for all families that if there is any change to your normal pick up procedures, parents must notify the office. Student safety is our top priority. Letting us know ensures your children always arrive safely. Parents are encouraged to check their approved contacts list in TeacherEase to make sure the appropriate adults are allowed to pick up your child.
