Reuse and Recycle
Preschool students are learning to reuse and recycle this month. Look at these adorable little engineers reusing cardboard tubes to make a marble run.
Junior High Dance Tonight
The Junior High Dance will be held tonight in the Charles A Fiocchi Gymnasium from 6:00 to 8:00. All Ladd and Dalzell students 6th through 8th grade may attend. Entrance Fee is $5.00
Report Cards
The end of the trimester was on Friday, February 27th. Reports cards have been printed and will be sent home today. You can also log into Teacherease to check your child's progress.
Teen Showcase
7th and 8th grade students will be attending the Teen Showcase at IVCC on Thursday, March 12th. The bus will be leaving Ladd School at 8:10. Teen Showcase is a community effort to educate youth in the LaSalle County area on diverse topics that highlight the importance of making positive life choices.
Honor Roll Assembly
The Honor Roll Assembly for the second trimester will be held on Friday, March 13th at 2:30 in the gymnasium. If your child has earned an honor roll or high honor roll certificate you will receive an invitation to the assembly in your email. Please reach out to the office if you have questions.
Assessment Week
The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is given by all school districts in Illinois each spring. The IAR assesses students 3rd through 8th grade in the areas of Math and ELA. This standardized assessment is used to gauge student growth and achievement in these areas and is reported on the Illinois School Report Card.
Students in 5th and 8th grades also are required to take the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) each year. The ISA measures student achievement in Science and is also reported on the Illinois School Report Card.
Both assessments will be given starting on Monday, March 23rd. Students will be assessed throughout the week with make up tests given the following week.
Hall Math Test
7th Grade students interested in taking 8th grade Algebra at Hall High School next year must take the Hall Math Test on Saturday, March 14th. More information on the Hall Math test can be found here.
Spring Concert
Save the Date! Our Spring Concert is coming up on April 1st at 6:00 pm in the gymnasium.
