Illinois Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra
Thank you to the Illinois Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra for joining us on Wednesday and teaching our 3rd-5th graders about the wonders of string instruments. Ms. Rhoda Roberts, Director and instructor of the Youth Symphony, and Ms. Katie Roy, violinist and instructor gave a wonderful presentation on the workings and different types of string instruments. Volleyball Season Wraps Up
We are reaching the end of our 2025-2026 Volleyball Season. Our team enjoyed their last home game and 8th Grade Night. This weekend they are off to the BVEC Tournament at Depue Grade School. Our 8th grade team has 3rd place in the conference with an 8-4 record and our 7th graders finished in 2nd place with a 10-2 record. Good luck coaches and players!
Basketball Begins
Boys basketball practice will start on Monday, October 6th. Boys 5th-8th will practice in the gym from 3:30-5:00. A parent meeting will follow practice at 5:00 pm
Fire Drill
Thank you to BJ Liebe and the Ladd Fire Department for working with us each year to make sure our students are prepared for all emergencies! This week we had our first fire Drill of the year and our students practiced walking to the Ladd Fire Station.
Law Enforcement Drill
We will be conducting our annual Law Enforcement Drill on Wednesday, October 1st. The Law Enforcement Drill is an annual requirement of all school districts. The drill must be conducted with children present within the first 90 days of the school year. We work closely with our Village of Ladd Police Department to conduct trainings, practice procedures, and ensure the safety of our staff and students.
