Decades Kick-Off

Decades Kick-Off

Each year, we kick-off a new theme for our school year in September. We use our theme to motivate our students, to build community with our school teams, and to reinforce positive behaviors and set expectations. This year we are so excited to kick off our "Through the Decades" theme.

Through the year, teams will earn points for positive behaviors and compete against each other for the most points. Each month teams meet to review expectations, participate in theme building activities, and learn about their decade. Parents can learn more about earning points with our Buck Expectation Document

Rocking Our Attendance

We have been working hard over the last couple of years to increase student attendance. Our Ladd students and families are ROCKING IT to start the year, with our overall attendance percentage at 97%! We are so excited! Keep it up!

Bus Expectations

Student safety is our number one priority, and because of that we are setting higher expectations for behavior on our buses. Students know that when they are not following the bus rules, they are distracting the bus driver and risking everyone's safety. If you have a child riding the bus, please review our bus rules with them and make sure that they are following these rules daily. Thank you for your support.

From our student handbook, On the bus, Ladd students will...

  • Treat bus drivers with the same respect they give their teachers

  • Be at their bus stop 5 minutes prior to their bus time

  • Walk to the bus and board responsibly

  • Only board the bus from the door side of the street

  • Sit in their seats, facing forward at all times

  • Keep hands and feet out of the aisles

  • Keep hands, feet and other objects to themselves

  • Respect the personal space of the students around them

  • Talk with an inside voice

  • Will not use any foul, inappropriate or disrespectful language

  • Be silent at all train track crossings

  • Keep your backpack at your feet and out of the aisle

  • Keep all electronic devices (Chromebooks, phones, etc) in their backpacks.

  • Not throw any items

  • Only get off at their assigned bus stop

  • Keep hands off of any safety device unless instructed by the driver

  • Clean up after themselves

  • Not eat on the bus

Patriots' Day 1

Patriots' Day Program

Wonderful experience for our middle school students this week. Thank you to the Village of Ladd for inviting us and allowing our students to appreciate and learn about the sacrifice of our first responders, firefighters and law enforcement who sacrificed themselves to save others on 9/11. Thank you for your sacrifice.
