As you are all aware, after several years of mild weather, this winter brought snow, ice, and brutal temperatures resulting in Ladd School utilizing all 5 snow days in the month of January. Statute requires that Illinois schools make up as many as 5 emergency days in a calendar year.
At the Board meeting on Tuesday night, an Amended 2023-2024 Ladd CCSD 94 District Calendarwas approved to account for the 5 emergency days that were used last month. The new calendar adds four days onto the end of the year and one additional day in March. Parents and students, please note that school will now be in session on Monday, March 4th, Casimir Pulaski Day. The final day of school will now be Friday, May 31 with a 1:00 dismissal.
Included in the new calendar, the Board established this year's 8th-Grade Graduation ceremony, to be held on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:00 pm.
